Fifty-five an hour is the monthly work. Eighty-five is the inspection and anything specialized or corrective.

Most contractors we work with land around fifteen hundred a month.

Estimate the first five months.

Type in the hours you think each month takes. Core work bills at fifty-five an hour. Everything else bills at eighty-five.

Questions

Why hourly instead of a flat monthly fee?
Because we don't know your file yet, and a flat quote before we've opened it is a guess. After the inspection we can talk about a fixed monthly number if you want one.
What's the difference between eighty-five and fifty-five?
Fifty-five is your monthly recurring bookkeeping. The day-to-day entry, the categorizing, the reconciliations, and the monthly close. If you keep a bookkeeper in house and only want us reconciling, that's fifty-five too. Eighty-five is specialized and corrective work. Building or fixing your systems, the inspection, and the contractor work that sits outside the monthly close.
What makes something specialized?
It sits outside the monthly close and it takes contractor knowledge. Progress billing, retainage, lien waivers, a bonding package. We tell you before we start, not after.
How long does an inspection take?
A day if your file is in good shape. Longer if it isn't. We tell you the estimate before we start.
Is there a contract?
No. Books get closed by the tenth every month. If they stop, you leave.
Can you really close by the tenth?
When your credit cards close at month end, yes. Most business bank statements already do. Some cards cycle mid-month and pull in the prior month's charges, so those need to move to a month-end close date first. We'll tell you which of yours need to move.
Do you work with my CPA?
Yes. We hand them the clean file.
Do you take small shops?
Yes. Two trucks is fine.
What if my books are a disaster?
Then you're normal. We quote the fixes as a flat project after the inspection.

You run your company. We run your books.

Thirty minutes on the phone and you'll know whether we can help. If we can't, we'll tell you.
