You probably called because one of these happened.
- Your bookkeeper quit.
- You've been doing your own books at night and on weekends, and you want those ten to fifteen hours back.
- Your bookkeeper is going out on leave.
- You grew and one person can't keep up.
- Your CPA is asking for something you can't hand over.
- The bank or the bonding company wants financials.
- You finished a job and still don't know what you made on it.
- Whoever's been doing the books at the kitchen table wants out.
Any of those, call us. We can pick up the same week.
What's included.
Bookkeeping runs in two phases. We clean up what's behind you, then we keep the books every month after that.
| Task | What it means |
|---|---|
| Categorize transactions | Every transaction lands in the right account, so you can see what the business made and where the money went. |
| Reconcile accounts | We match every line in QuickBooks to what actually cleared the bank, on every bank account, credit card, and loan. |
| Accounts payable and receivable | We enter your bills and record your invoices and keep both agings honest. |
| Payroll entries | We enter approved hours and run payroll through QuickBooks Payroll, QuickBooks Time, or your provider, then post the entries. |
| Close your books | Books closed and locked by the tenth. You get a profit and loss statement and a balance sheet. |
| Job costing | Your costs land on the right job, so the margin report is real. |
| Sales tax | We track what you owe and file the returns, in one state or several. |
| W-9s and 1099s | We track them through the year instead of chasing them in January. |
We work in QuickBooks Online. That is the only platform we support.

Every stage is spelled out on the what we do page. No stage starts before we give you the estimate.
What's not included.
- No tax advice.
- No filing income tax returns.
- No financial advice, forecasting, or modeling.
- No HR. We run payroll and post the entries. Withholding calculations and the 940s, 941s, and state payroll filings sit with your payroll provider.
- No authorizing or signing payments.
- No collections.
- No audits.
We record what happened. Your CPA handles what you owe. We hand them a clean file so they aren't billing you three hundred an hour to build one.
What you're responsible for.
- You approve the payments. We stage the bills, give you the payables run so you can cut checks or send ACHs, and record all of it. We can sit as a second approver.
- Approve the hours. We run the payroll and post the entries.
- Connect your bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks, or give us read-only access and we'll connect them.
- Give us accountant access to QuickBooks Online.
- Tell us when a job closes out and what the final number was.
That takes an owner about thirty minutes a month.
Who does the work.
You get a dedicated bookkeeper on your account. Heather oversees every account behind that bookkeeper, so the work gets reviewed and the books don't stop when one person is out.
